I would be inclined to suggest you turn the air pump off. Bettas do not like or need that kind of disturbance (heaps of rising bubbles) in their tank and it will certainly be doing the fish no good. If you drive a filter with your air pump you will be doing something positive that will benefit the fish. Any food left in the tank must be syphoned out immediately after the 15 minutes you should allow for the fish to eat what you give it. Failure to do this will eventually result in poisoned water and dead fish.
Any freshwater plant will do.
That's perfectly normal for a betta.
A betta normally only lives 2-3 years, so it would be around 70 years old in "betta years".
The best pet fish for kids to get is a Betta. You might think oh lets go get a goldfish! But really most of the goldfishes at stores are babies and need A LOT of growing space also a Betta lives longer. Also Betta's are easier to take care of!
Nine Lives Are Not Enough was created in 1941.
The betta fish that you buy at Walmart or a pet shop are raised in captivity and bred for their long fins and rich colors. The original betta(Betta spendens) came from Siam, now Thailand, where it lives in small ponds. The wild fish is smaller and not as colorful as its domestic counterpart, but just as feisty with others of its kind.
Worm
the jaguar lives on the forest floor because it prefers an easier catch on the forest floor.
He mostly occupies the private apartments on the second floor.
Betta fish live in rice paddies. The misconception that the Betta live in a small amount of water it's whole life has spread wide. A Betta actually only lives in small pools of water during the dry season when it is forced to by receding water levels. Also like many other fish a Betta in captivity would enjoy the protection of almost any aquatic plant.
