Honestly, there's not a best way to make it work. However, if you get married and receive the same station or stations close enough to live together, you have a good chance. Otherwise, slim to none on being with him next year.
There's a program called "JOIN SPOUSE" in which the armed services will try to station you together, or at least in bases 100 miles or closer to each other. In other words, they try to keep couples together. I'm not quite sure what they allot if you're not actually married, though. This is definitely a question your recruiter can answer for you.
