I am not a veterinarian, but I have owned over 30 dogs in the course of my lifetime. I would venture to say your dog is cold and either needs 1) a blanket or 2) a snuggle buddy. Let your dog in bed and if that is not your deal then get another puppy that likes to cuddle.

∙ 13y agomy dog sleeps on my bed, and sometimes during the night i hear her whimper. when i look up i see that she is shaking. I ruled this out to nightmares and just gave her a gentle shake and she stopped. :)

∙ 11y agoYour dog may be afraid of a step in her nightly routine, try to find out which step it is and find ways to help her cope with her anxiety. If you do not think this is it make sure she is not scared of where she is sleeping every night, it may be separation anxiety, to help relieve the anxiety try putting something familiar where she sleeps( i.e a favorite toy) If none of these solutions work please call your vet they are sure to give you an answer and ways to stop this from happening.
