This is typical of both genders. Men will continue to contact for a number of reasons: 1) possessiveness, in case you are dating someone else; 2) anger, to harass you; 3) need, because the world without you is much harsher than he thought. In the case of the latter, you should always be careful that you are not simply enabling a losing attitude. In other words, just because he is chasing you again doesn't mean that he needs you in particular-- it's just that you are a comfortable place to be. My question is ... why are you still having anything to do with him if you have a new boyfriend? How would you like your new boyfriend talking to one of his ex's. Cut this old love loose and be true to your new boyfriend. The other poster is on the mark. Your ex probably isn't interested in you the way you might like him to be. It is human nature ... what you can't have you want! Don't stay in contact with your ex and in a pleasant way tell him to move on ... it's over! Maybe he simply considers you friends? If it bothers you tell him.
