This is a tough situation, as you have already gave what he initially wanted. He may actually care for you, but he may have alterior motives, too.
Like I said, he may "love" you, but don't expect that much, or even for that long, as these things tend not to end well. Good luck, though, as in every gamble, luck is a factor.
