A LOCKOUT IS OCCURING IN THE FURNACE. YOU ARE RESETTING THE LOCKOUT (FAULT) BY TURNING T-STAT DOWN AND THEN UP AGAIN. IF A LIMIT, FIRST THING TO CHECK/ CHANGE IS THE FILTER. MANY FURNACES WILL HAVE AN LED THAT WILL FLASH A # OF TIMES TO INDICATE WHICH FAULT IS OCCURING. IF THE FAN COMPARTMENT HAS A CLEAR PLASTIC SNAP-IN COVER, LOOK INSIDE AND LOOK FOR A FLASHING LED. RECORD THE NUMBER OF FLASHES, KILL THE POWER AND REMOVE THE COVER. MOST TIMES, INSIDE THE COVER WILL BE A LEGEND THAT TELLS YOU WHAT IS GOING ON. NOTE: WHEN YOU REMOVE THE COVER A SAFETY SWITCH OPENS THAT KILLS THE POWER TO THE FURNACE. IF YOU REMOVE IT, ANY FLASH CODES WILL BE CLEARED. lc
