Obviously it is time to get a new ignition switch fir this car.
i beleave the inertia switch is located behind the glove box or just below it.. that's where it is located on my 86 and my old 88 bronco II
I just installed an ignition cylinder (key lock) on a 1996 contour. On the box of the new ingnition lock cylinder it reads switch commutateur interruptor.
hmmm...maybe you need to change the ignition switch..or the starter..or the altenator...or maybe you need a new battery..I Dont know...if you try to turn it on can you hear the car trying to turn on...if so it could be your altinator or battery....if your engin does not make a noise then it could be the ingnition switch or the starter....or the solution could be as simple as unlocking your stearing wheel.......just pray to GOD its not the ingnition switch or the altinator...because those things are quit expensive!!!!!
The switch is held on by a Phillips screw behind the lock mechanism. Remove the steering column plastic housing, and then lower the steering columnyou will se just behind the lock a nylon switch.. That's your ign switch... If you need to remove the lock Cylinder that has to be drilled out from on top of the unit, if you need specifics I can supply them..
Wiring on early Bronco switches, (1966-77) at least are removable. There is a plug with a nut on the back of the switch. remove the nut, then pull the single wire off of the threaded stud. The rest of the wires are in a plug which will just pull of now that the nut is removed. Hope this helps.
Look under the dash, in the center. It will be a black box with a white button. Just push the button back in.
How much 'older'? I have a '78 Bronco. Ignition switch has a bezel ring that secures the switch to the dash. Simply unscrew the ring from the front, then pull switch assembly from the rear of dash. Once it is free from dash there are plastic clips holding the assy together.
no its just an option package
Passenger side floor, up under dash to the right of the driveshaft hump. Inertia switch is under the carpeting. Just push button down on top of switch to reset..
My 1991 Full Size Ford Bronco has the fuel cut off on the driver side. Behind the Brake Pedal look just to the left of the Brake Pedal and up. It's mounted on the firewall Just above the Carpet. Press the Red Button on the top to RESET.
Bronco Roads - 2011 Just Be 2-20 was released on: USA: 2013
i found it totally easier to by-pass the switch than to try to repair it just cut it and splice , i did and its been perfect since
