If it runs that long I would rule out a gas problem. It is more than likely one of two things.
1) Either you ignition (coil) is getting hot and breaking down.
2) Or, the engine itself it overheating. This is usually caused by debris under the metal engine cover. A simple cleaning will take care of this problem.
Sounds like the engine heats and the ignition fails.
an engine if running usually heats up, are you talking heat in car? need new thermostat
I have a Sears Craftsman LT 1000 17 Horsepower Kohler engine, and I had the same problem. I used some gasoline additive as well, check your oil level. It appears if the oil level is low the engine heats up and shuts down. I believe it is a safety mechanism, so it saves your engine. So add some oil, maybe a little gasoline additive and you should be good to go!
I have the same problem, im going to try and flush the radiator
as it works or moves it gets hot and eventually over heats. think of it as a human running the person eventually gets hot
It heats from the celci-di that heats an outdoors calborithm
The purpose of a thermostat on a running heat pump is to be able to determine the temperature the pump is operating at. This is used for regulating the heats needed.
Worn out but a new one having the same issues on my 76
Unlike the PS3, the Xbox 360 after running for a while tends to get very hot. When running for a long time, the system heats up and possibly overheats. It is alo extremely loud when in use.

Radiation never heats up .... when it is absorbed by matter then the matter heats up.
Take shorter showers, or get a tankless, "on-demand" water heater that heats the water as you use it.
