You can't judge a food by its cover: Ralcorp Holdings is a top US maker of private label or store brand products, and a major player in the foodservice market. Ralcorp's portfolio includes Ralston ready-to-eat and hot breakfast cereals, as well as Bremner crackers and cookies, Nutcracker trail mixes, Medallion corn snacks, and Linette chocolates. Carriage House produces dressings, jellies, and sauces, and a frozen bakery business, frozen cookies and in-store baked goods under the Krusteaz and other labels. Ralcorp also makes dry pasta for retail and foodservice customers through American Italian Pasta Co. In 2012 Ralcorp spun off its Post Foods cereal business to further strengthen its private-brand position.
