Rallé

Wikipedia: Rallé (artist)

Rallé is the name of a surrealist artist. His work has been shown in the Meisel Gallery in New York City and the Bruce R. Lewin Gallery. His art also illustrated several articles in Omni, mostly fiction pieces. His style is similar to Michael Parkes, whose work has also appeared in Omni. A painting of his appeared as the cover of Omni in September 1985,[1][2] and another was used as cover art for a 1987 edition of Pamela Sargent's The Shore of Women.[3]

Style

His paintings often feature portraits of young women wearing elaborate headdresses, which on closer inspection, are seen to be a part of her head itself. In outline, they strongly resemble da Vinci's work.[4]
