Rewards Network helps out restaurants by rewarding its customers. The company powers a leading North American dining rewards program that reaches more than 3 million members. Rewards Network contracts with some 10,000 restaurants and other merchants to provide services at a discounted price. Membership, consisting of frequent diners, receive loyalty rewards such as rebates, frequent flier miles, and other discounts on food, lodging, travel, gifts, and entertainment. Rewards Network was founded in 1984 as Transmedia Network by Mel Chasen, a former president of Caesar's Palace (now part of Caesar's Entertainment). Private equity firm EGI Acquisition owns Rewards Network.
