Tobias is a village in Saline County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 158 at the 2000 census.

Tobias is located at 40°25′6″N, 97°20′12″W (40.418426,

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total
area of 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²), all land.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there were 158 people, 65 households, and 44 families residing in the
village. The population density was 234.6/km² (604.3/mi²). There were 77 housing
units at an average density of 114.3/km² (294.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.37% White and 0.63% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.63% of the population.
There were 65 households out of which 30.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.3% were
non-families. 29.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or
older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 3.07.
In the village the population was spread out with 30.4% under the age of 18, 3.2% from 18 to 24, 21.5% from 25 to 44, 24.7%
from 45 to 64, and 20.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 97.5
males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $36,607, and the median income for a family was $43,333. Males had a
median income of $26,625 versus $23,333 for females. The per capita income for the
village was $13,017. About 5.6% of families and 4.3% of the population were below the poverty
line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty five or over.
