Todd Shipyards helps keep boats afloat. The company operates a handful of Washington-based dry docks through subsidiaries Vigor Shipyards and Everett Shipyard; in the marketplace of private, that is non-governmental, shipyard owners, it is largest in the US Pacific Northwest. Its work focuses on repair (minor jobs to major overhauls) and maintenance of federal government as well as commercial vessels that plow the region's waters. Services include new construction and industrial fabrication for a select group of customers at its shipyards. Contracts with the US Navy, Coast Guard, and Washington State Ferries, represent about 90% of its revenues. Todd was taken over by Vigor Industrial in 2011 for $130 million.
