If it's crude oil or a refined petroleum product, Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) can transport it. The company's fleet of about 80 tankers includes both crude carriers and product carriers in a variety of sizes, from very large crude carriers (VLCCs) to smaller Aframax and handysize vessels; about half its ships are ice-class. TEN also operates a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier. Overall, the company's fleet has a capacity of some 5 million deadweight tons (DWT). The company offers its vessels on short, medium, and long term charters. Customers have included Petrobras, Shell, Tesoro, and Houston Refining, a unit of LyondellBasell. The founding Tsakos family controls TEN.
