The Wapishana (or Wapisiana, Wapitxana, Vapidiana, Wapixana) are an ethnic group of the Roraima area of southern Guyana and northern Brazil.
There are approximately 9000 Wapishana in Guyana and 1500 in Brazil.
The Wapishana are one of the nine remaining tribes left in Guyana. The some others are Akawaio, Macushi, Warrow, Arawak and the Wai Wai.
