Direct marketer Zones offers computer users a zone of their own, selling more than 150,000 products (including hardware, software, peripherals, and accessories). It's a reseller for several manufacturers, such as Adobe, Apple, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, and Sony. It also provides IT support services. Zones sells products by phone, catalog, and its e-commerce sites (including Zones.com and MacZone.com). Zones sells to business customers of all sizes (targeting small and midsized businesses) as well as public sector clients. Chairman and CEO Firoz Lalji took the company private in late 2008.
