5 Reasons to Get Excited About Batman: Arkham Knight
End of the Trilogy
When Rocksteady released "Arkham Asylum," the game proved to fans that it is indeed possible to make not just a good, but great superhero game. Then Rocksteady outdid themselves with the next game in the series, "Arkham City," a game that could've easily won a game of the year award. With "Arkham Knight" as the last in the series, many fans are excited to see how the story will culminate.
A screenshot released by Rocksteady shows a new character, the Arkham Knight, with his feet on the neck of a fallen Batman. Despite the image it projects, Rocksteady doesn't give a clue whether the knight is a foe or an ally. Aside from this, some characters received a bit of a makeover and the game may reintroduce other notable villains.
Bigger Map, Lifelike Background
Rocksteady is ready to harness the potential of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, making the map of "Arkham Knight" five times larger than in "Arkham City." And with the expansion comes much better graphics, which you can see when you glide through the streets of Gotham. You can see the interiors of well-lit buildings as well as hear lifelike ambient noises in the background.
Because the area Batman can roam has become larger, the Dark Knight needs something to help him get from one place to another much faster. This is no problem with the Batmobile as the Caped Crusader's means of transportation. It will be exciting to see how developers will utilize it in the game along with Batman's other gadgets.
Batman's Been Training
In the single year in-game gap between "Arkham City" and "Arkham Knight," Batman has been training and will show off some of the new tricks he learned in "Arkham Knight." He also has more combo streaks, which makes it easier for him to take down his enemies using whatever weapons he has on hand.
