Popular Country Music Family Bands

The Country music community is like one big family. That's especially the case for some Country duos and groups who literally keep it all in the family. Here's a look at Country music's most famous family bands.

The Bellamy Brothers

David Milton Bellamy and Homer Howard Bellamy, known as The Bellamy Brothers, first saw success in the late 1970s. The brothers, who have spent more than 35 years together as a duo, are best known for hits like "Let Your Love Flow," "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me)", and "Redneck Girl." Throughout their successful career, The Bellamy Brothers have charted 20 No.1 singles.

The Judds

As one of the most successful duos in Country music history, The Judds, comprised of mother Naomi and daughter Wynonna, rose to fame in the 1980s. The Judds are known for hits such as "Mama He's Crazy," "Grandpa (Tell Me 'Bout the Good Old Days)," and "Love Can Build A Bridge." Throughout their successful career as a duo, The Judds won many awards including five Grammys and several Country Music Association (CMA) and Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. Although they parted ways as a duo in 1991, they have reunited several times for special tours and events.

The Band Perry

Fans were first introduced to The Band Perry in 2009 with the release of their debut single, "Hip To My Heart." The Grammy-nominated trio, which consists of siblings Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry, went on to release hit after hit including "If I Die Young," "Better Dig Two," and "All Your Life." In addition to headlining their own shows, the Republic Nashville group has spent time on the road with artists such as Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts. The Band Perry is one of the most successful modern day family bands.

Carter's Chord

Sisters Becky, Emily, and Joanna, known as Carter's Chord, are the daughters of Barny and Carter Robertson, who happened to be members of Waylon Jennings' band in the 1970s. The trio, known for their amazing harmonies, was signed to Show-Dog Universal after being discovered by Country hitmaker Toby Keith.

The Henningsens

After writing several hit songs for The Band Perry, The Henningsens made a name for themselves in early 2013 with the release of their debut single "American Beautiful." The Arista Nashville trio is made up of father Brian and siblings Clara and Aaron. Hailing from a small town in Illinois, The Henningsens are on their way to becoming the next big family band.

When it comes to good looks and talent, it's clear that they both run in the family for these bands. Are you a fan of their music?
