[doh-MAYN; Fr. Daw-MEHN] French for "estate" or "property." The term is most often used in burgundy where it pertains to a single property, although the property might be made up of several vineyards in different locations. If a wine is estate bottled (made and bottled by the grower), it's labeled "mis au domaine, " "mise du domaine, " "mis en bouteille au domaine, " or "mis en bouteille a la propriete."
