Many people desire quick weight loss, especially in the summer during beach and pool season. There are methods out there to quickly lose weight, but it is important to note that any diet is part of a plan to permanently change bad habits, not just during the diet. For those who do not necessarily want to quickly lose fat, but instead want to put their weight below a set threshold, there are few better alternatives to a sauna. The sauna causes perspiration, pulling water weight out of the body. This may seem insignificant at first, but water is actually very heavy; one gallon of water weighs eight pounds. For mixed martial artists, boxers and wrestlers who need to make weight there is no better choice.

Ketosis removes fat

The ketosis diet is perhaps the best diet on the planet for quickly losing fat. In this diet carbohydrates are almost completely eliminated by the dieter, while protein and fats can be consumed in excess. The results are amazing; since the body uses carbohydrates as fuel, when carbs are not present the body must turn to stored fats for energy needs. Even without counting calories and eating foods like bacon and eggs, fat loss occurs in the ketosis diet.

While many people do not count calories while on the ketosis diet, it is important to refrain from going overboard, as this can sometimes cause weight gain and health problems.

Diet and exercise are not overrated

By cutting down on calories and working out, a lot of weight can be lost. While the old fashioned way may seem like a lot of hard work, if the right methods are known it can be a figurative piece of cake. One good thing to know is that the body does not register feelings of fullness for 15 minutes after food is consumed. As such, despite feeling hungry and wanting to eat more, many people can get away with eating much less, resulting in more weight loss.

Losing weight quickly is hard; in fact, most nutritionists recommend losing only two pounds a week. Thankfully there are methods out there to lose even more. However, without making a lifestyle change the lost weight is very likely come back, and the weight loss has to happen all over again.
