Yogurt Diet Plans

The yogurt diet is now quite popular and, when used with exercise, can help those who have 10 to 20 pounds to drop to achieve their goals. Yogurt contains a lot of protein and not a lot of fat. It also comes in many delicious flavors and different size containers, making it a versatile addition to any meal. If you are considering following a yogurt diet plan, here are some things to consider.

The diet plan

The yogurt diet does not consist of eating only yogurt. It does call for dieters to eat three servings of yogurt each day, preferably one at each meal. Breakfast, for example, can consist of yogurt and an orange. Lunch can include salad, some peanuts and a yogurt cup. Dinner can consist of broiled chicken, some carrots, a cookie and a cup of yogurt. You should not consume more than four cups of yogurt in one day. The focus should be on fruits and veggies with yogurt as an addition.

When following the yogurt diet, try incorporating the yogurt in fun new ways. For example, stir a quarter cup of granola into your cup for a complete breakfast.

Exercise

The other half of the yogurt diet plan is the exercise you should perform while dieting. Work with a personal trainer to set up a good regimen. At the very least, make sure you participate in 30 minutes of aerobic activity such as walking or jogging each day. Do basic strength training exercises twice per week to build muscle, which burns off more calories at rest than fatty tissue does.

There are so many fad diets out there today that picking a healthy eating plan is tough. The yogurt diet, when followed correctly, can fit into a healthy lifestyle. Just make sure you eat more than just yogurt and stick to a workout plan.
