There are two quick ways to get Answers.com content from your Mac desktop: the Answers Widget and 1-Click Answers.



Answers Widget
The Answers Widget for Mac OSX gives you quick access to Answers.com directly on your dashboard.

Installation Instructions for the Answers Widget

If using Safari, click the Download.com icon to start the download. When the download is complete:
  • Show Dashboard
  • Click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar
  • Click the icon in the Widget Bar to open it
If using a non-Safari browser, click the Download.com icon to start the download. When the download is complete:
  • Unarchive and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder
  • Show Dashboard
  • Click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar
  • Click the icon in the Widget Bar to open it

1-Click Answers
1-Click AnswersTM for Mac OS-X allows you to receive instant facts about any word on your computer screen. Just select the word or phrase and hold down “Command+Option+G.”

Installation Instructions
Requirements for 1-Click AnswersTM for Mac OS X:
1-Click Answers for Mac OS X is compatible with machines running Safari and Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), 10.3 (Panther) or 10.2.8 (Jaguar). The installer is a 360 KB download.
To download and install 1-Click Answers for Mac OS X:
  1. Click here to download the installation tool.

  2. When the download is complete, Disk Copy may launch the downloaded disk image. If not, find the 1-Click Answers-1.0.19.dmg file (probably on your Desktop). Double-click the file to open it in Mac's Disk Copy application.

  3. A new Finder window will appear containing the 1-Click Answers icon. Drag the icon to your Applications folder (or any other folder or disk you'd like to store it in) to complete installation.

  4. Once 1-Click Answers is installed, you can safely "eject" the virtual disk it came on, and dispose of the .dmg file you downloaded. Double-click the 1-Click Answers icon in its new location to begin using it, or drag it to your Dock for easy access.
