City (pop., 2001: 325,428), southeastern Ontario, Canada. Located west of Toronto, it was founded c. 1830. It was incorporated as a town in 1873 and as a city in 1976. Its industries include flower growing, tanning, lumbering, and the manufacture of automobiles, shoes, stationery, furniture, and optical equipment.
