Sipson is a village in the London Borough of Hillingdon, situated near the northern perimeter of London Heathrow Airport and 14.3 miles (23 km) west of Charing Cross. Historically, Sipson was in the county of Middlesex, which was abolished when Greater London was created in 1965. The village's name comes from the Anglo-Saxon Sibbwines tūn = "Sibbwine's farmstead".
