From a modest start with two electricians in 1925, Sachs Electric has grown to become one of the largest electrical contractors in the US. It has four main divisions that work throughout the US. Its electric division, McGraw Electric Company, serves primarily southeastern Michigan and performs electrical contracting work for technology, automotive, industrial, and line construction customers. Sachs Systems installs and maintains communications systems. Its automation unit installs instrumentation and process control systems. Sachs Civil specializes in trenching and excavating operations for industrial electrical installations. The company has been employee-owned since 1990.
