Found a solution that works well... I picked up a Sony RM-VL600 universal remote with learning capability. With this unit, I've been able to program all the functions of th…e TB100MW9 DTV Converter box. I picked up this unit at Walmart for $25, but have seen it on Amazon for as little as $16. This remote is a vast improvement over the remote that comes with the Magnavox DTV converter, and was easy to program. Found another solution.... after tinkering with the Philips universal remote for an hour, i finally found a code that can control the magnavox converter. the code is 0759. the Philips remote i have is SRU3006/27 but it might work for any Philips universal remote. the remote itself cost me about 15 dollars. if you call Philips or magnavox they would say none of the remotes can operate the converter.they obviously didn't know their own product... Two easy suggestions..
1) Trick: pre-pend a 1 to the code..
Some have found by just adding an additional "1" in-front of the comcast remote code works..
My …Magnavox codes found at:.
were 0054, 0030, 0179, & 0186. .
So I should try 10054, 10030, 10179, 10186..
2) Goto the remote manufacturer's site..
I found out that my comcast remote is made by UEI at this URL:.
I found my remote on that page (one similiar, not exact) and clicked for the codes..
which led me here (great page...).
It asked for my "BRAND" (magnavox) and "MODEL" (left blank)..
it returned code:.
Same as one in answer #1.
AND IT WORKED!!!.

No. If you already have a digital TV, when the digital transition occurs in February 2009, you will still receive broadcast signals from your antenna. There is no need to purc…hase additional equipment (a converter box). If you do not already have a digital TV and you want to continue to receive broadcast signals from your antenna, then you will need to purchase a converter box to receive and translate those signals to your analogue television. There is another choice that does not require the purchase of these new converter boxes: If you do not want to purchase additional equipment nor a new television because the one you have is "just fine" and as well you like the remote that came with the tv because you finally know where all the buttons are, then you can have installed as little as basic cable to all your TVs (no additional monthly cost for multiple basic or basic/standard cable TVs), get rid of the rabbit ears (antennas) altogether and enjoy clearer local channels and a few others you are sure to enjoy. The cost is surprisingly nominal, the set-up will be done for you, the ease of use exceptional. Basic or basic/standard cable will enable you to turn on and off your tv the way you always have, use your own remote the way you are accustomed to use it. And if you ever need help, help is a phone call away, and in the case of TimeWarner cable, trouble service is free and usually local to your area. If you would like more information about basic, basic/standard, Digital, Free High Definition or any other industry leading technologies and services, call your Local TimeWarner Cable office to request an in-home visit from a Direct Sales Representative who will provide you with the most thorough answers to your questions and as well the absolute best possible rates and discounts - apples to apples - in the market. jk,082812 (MORE)
I've read elsewhere that Logitech Harmony universal remotes will work using RCA codes, they suggested L32HD31 as your TV to get it to control the TCL tv and comcast. I have us…ed 10047 and 11781 as the remote code for a TCL LCD TV on my Comcast digital adapter remote. They are each RCACodes, that work perfectly on TCL , as RCA is owned by TCL. (MORE)

There is no known code for this, what you have to do is if you have one of the white topped remotes is the following. Turn Converter on Move selector to AV1 or AV2 Press… and Hold Mute and Select for 5-7 Seconds, the led light over your AV selection will light up a few times Press the following buttons "9911" Press power Keep pressing channel up until the box turns off Press Select to lock in code Try pressing power to see if it works I know the code search works, but you won't have access to the menu, and I wouldn't mess with anything but the channel up and down or power, the rest of the buttons don't work, and one of them turns volume down, but there isn't a working volume up button. I do know the Magnavox dtv convertors use the same codes as the TV's, so you can use the Directv.com remote program guide as well. .
The following code is the most popular for your brand..
Setup Instructions .
Set the "Mode Switch" to AV1 or AV2. .
Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button until the visible LED blinks twice. .
Enter the 5 digit Code above. .
Try your new code. . (MORE)
