Thomasville Industrial city (1990 pop. 15,915), Davidson co., central N.C., in the Piedmont; inc. 1854. It is a railroad junction in a tobacco, grain, barley, poultry, livestock, and dairying region. Textiles and apparel, furniture, steel rails, plastic and metal products, crushed stone, and plywood are manufactured.
