Though the title #1 Hits: Best of Hip Hop implies that all the tracks included hit number one, this is not in fact the case, though almost all the songs did chart highly, either on specialized genre charts (dance, hip-hop, R&B) or on the Billboard 200 (the only one to hit the first spot there was the opener, Sir Mix-A-Lot's party favorite, "Baby Got Back"). This does mean, however, that most of what's on #1 Hits: Best of Hip Hop is fairly well known (albeit in parentally approved, curse-word-edited versions), though there are a few tracks -- the Gablz's "Shookie Shookie (Gimme Some of Your Sweet Cookie)," which grazed the R&B charts, Duice's "Dazzey Duks" -- that were fleeting enough so that probably only the most die-hard radio pop-rap fans (meaning, someone who went to high school or junior high dances then) will remember them. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
