Arizona-based Dead Hot Workshop plays guitar-driven working-class rock & roll with a hint of country twang thrown in. Their sound is somewhat reminiscent of the Gin Blossoms, who also hailed from Arizona. Many of the tracks have a murky sound with almost unintelligible lyrics; but in this case, that's not a bad thing. Highlights among the 14 tracks include "117," "I Dream of David," "Bob Hill Climbin'," and "A," the album opener. This overlooked album is full of good stuff -- in fact, there's not a bad song in the bunch. ~ Tim Griggs, All Music Guide
