Astronomy

Chinese astronomers establish that the length of the year is 3651/4 days.

Construction

A stone-filled dam faced with basalt blocks about 150 m (500 ft) long and 6 m (20 ft) high is built at the northern end of a low, flat valley called Orontes during the reign of Egyptian Pharaoh Seti I. It creates the Lake of Homes that is 5 m (17 ft) deep, and which persists even today. See also 2500 bce Construction.

Transportation
