- March 25 - Harry Arundel, 49, pitcher for three seasons. Played for the 1875 Brooklyn Atlantics, the 1882 Pittsburg Alleghenys, and the 1884 Providence Grays.
- April 11 - Shorty Fuller, 36, shortstop for the Browns and Giants who scored 100 runs in 1890 and 1891
- May 4 - Frank Quinlan, 35, played two games for the 1891 Boston Reds.
- June 6 - Chippy McGarr, 41, third baseman who played for seven teams over the course of 10 seasons from 1884 to 1896.
- November 4 - Charlie Reilley, 47?, catcher for five seasons: 1879-1882, 1884.
