Review

These Bunny Berigan radio transcriptions have been reissued quite a few times, including on this Alamac LP. The performances are generally excellent, Bunny was one of the best trumpeters of the era, and he is heard here in 1936 and with his regular big band in 1938. However the two Jass CDs (which reissue all of the transcriptions in chronological order) are the preferred way to acquire this enjoyable music. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
