The organizations choosing the teams included: the United Press, the Associated Press, Collier's Weekly, the New York Sun, and the Hearst newspapers. The individuals selected to the most All-American teams were Michigan halfback (and Heisman Trophy winner) Tom Harmon, Texas A&M fullfback John Kimbrough, and Tennessee guard Bob Suffridge.
