The 1953 NBA All-Star Game was the third NBA All-Star Game. It was played on January 13, 1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. George Mikan of the Minneapolis Lakers was the Most Valuable Player. Don Barksdale of the East, from the Boston Celtics became the first African-American to play and also score in an NBA All-Star game. The game was played in Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
