"1980" is the debut solo single by British singer-songwriter Estelle and the first taken from her debut album The 18th Day.

In "1980", Estelle talks about her childhood and she titled the song "1980" as that was the year of her birth. The single reached #14 on the UK Singles Chart and was the highest charting single from her debut album. The song samples Tony Orlando's Lazy Susan. It remains one of Estelle's most well-known hits to date in the UK. The single is also one of her biggest hits in Australia, where "1980" peaked inside the top 40 at #36.

Estelle performed the song during her set at the BBC 1Xtra urban music event.

The music video for "1980" depicts events featured in Estelle's younger years, featured in the lyrics of the song. The video features members of Estelle's family and leads into album track and the b-side for "1980", "Don't Talk" at the end of the video.
