The 1981 St. George Whiskies season was the 3rd season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). formerly known as Gilbey's Gin during the Open Conference.

Summary

  • Open Conference: despite the presence of imports Dean Tolson and high-scoring Larry McNeil, Gilbey's Gin could only finish with a 7-win, 11-loss card, won their final two games against Crispa and Tefilin.
  • Change their team name to St.George Whisky in the Reinforced All-Filipino Conference, signed up Kenny Tyler, who played for the visiting Nicholas Stoodley team from United States, which won the PBA's Invitational conference last season, as their import, St.George could only managed to score a lone victory in nine outings during the season-ending tournament.
