Offseason
- November 21, 1983: Bill Caudill and Darrel Akerfelds were traded by the Mariners to the Oakland Athletics for Dave Beard and Bob Kearney.[1]
- December 5, 1983: Dave Geisel was selected by the Mariners from the Toronto Blue Jays in the rule 5 draft.[2]
- January 17, 1984: Mike Blowers was drafted by the Mariners in the 8th round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign.[3]
- March 23, 1984: Rick Sweet was released by the Mariners.[4]
