1990 World Sportscar Championship season

The 1990 World Sportscar Championship season was the 38th season of FIA World Sportscar Championship racing. It featured the 1990 FIA World Sports-Prototype Championship for Drivers and the 1990 FIA World Sports-Prototype Championship for Teams, both of which were contested over a series for cars running under the FIA's Group C formula. The series ran from April 8, 1990 to October 7, 1990 and was composed of nine races.

Season results

Teams' Championship points were awarded for the top 6 placed cars in the order of 9-6-4-3-2-1, with the following exceptions:

• Teams were only awarded points for their highest finishing car; any other team cars were merely skipped in the points standings.
• Teams were not awarded points if the car did not complete 75% of the winner's distance.

Drivers' Championship points were awarded for the top 6 placed cars in the order of 9-6-4-3-2-1, with the following exceptions:

• Drivers failing to drive the car at least 30% of the laps in a race were not awarded points.
• Drivers were not awarded points if the car did not complete 75% of the winner's distance.
