The World Junior Figure Skating Championships is an annual event sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which younger figure skaters compete for the title of World Junior Champion. The 1991 competition took place between November 27 and December 2, 1990 in Budapest, Hungary. Due to the large number of participants, the ladies and men had to qualify to participate in short and free program.
Germany had a special arrangement in number of participants due to the reunification in 1990 and based on the results of West- and East-Germany in 1990.
