The 1993 Ginebra San Miguel season was the 15th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Season Recap

  • Ginebra San Miguel selected FEU Tamaraw Victor Pablo as the number 2 overall pick, then traded him to Seven-Up for veteran center Manny Victorino, also signed another veteran and former uncolas Alejo Alolor, later added another player in their line-up in Pat Codinera, the third of the Codinera brothers playing in the PBA.
  • On Opening Day on February 28 at the newly-built Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, Ginebra San Miguel defeated Seven-Up, 116-103 in a rousing debut, with Victorino and Alolor playing well against their former team, Ginebra skidded to five straight losses, dropping to 1-5 before winning their last four elimination round assignments to make it to the one-round quarterfinals, where they lost all their four games.
  • Ginebra also started on a winning note in the Commissioners Cup, winning over Sta.Lucia Realtors, 103-99, the team never got a good import and could only finished with a 3-win, 8-loss record. a long-standing team loyalty has ended during that period as Dondon Ampalayo, who has been with Ginebra since his rookie year in 1986, asked to be traded to Alaska Milk, and the deal was granted sending Ampalayo to the milkmen, and Ginebra got Bobby Jose in exchange.
  • In the Governors Cup, Ginebra could only win once, on their second game against Shell, 109-101 in Davao City on October 2, they lost all their remaining eight games for a dismal 1-9 slate.
