The 1994 FIFA World Cup Final took place in Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California, United States. Brazil won the World Cup against Italy on a penalty shootout after the score was 0–0. This was Brazil's fourth World Cup title. It was also the first ever World Cup final to be decided by a penalty shoot-out. This final is also the second time two nations meet again in the World Cup final (Argentina and Germany met on both the 1986 and 1990 finals).
The victorious Brazil team dedicated their win to the late triple Formula One world champion Ayrton Senna, who had died in an accident at that year's San Marino Grand Prix two and a half months previously.
