The 1996 Davis Cup was the 85th edition of the most important tournament between nations in men's tennis. A total of 124 nations participated in the tournament. In the final, France defeated Sweden at Malmö Massan in Malmö, Sweden, on 29 November - 1 December, giving France their 8th title.
