The 12th Annual Soul Train Music Awards were held on February 27, 1998 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. Puff Daddy was the top nominee with five nominations, other top nominess included Janet Jackson, Aaliyah and Maxwell.^[1]
