  • It was Sampras' 11th career Grand Slam title and his 5th Wimbledon title.

Women's Singles

Czech Republic Jana Novotná defeated France Nathalie Tauziat 6–4, 7–6(7–2)

  • It was Novotná's only Grand Slam title and her 1st and only Wimbledon title.

Men's Doubles

Netherlands Jacco Eltingh / Netherlands Paul Haarhuis defeated Australia Todd Woodbridge / Australia Mark Woodforde 2–6, 6–4, 7–6(7–3), 5–7, 10–8

  • It was Eltingh's 6th and last career Grand Slam title and his only Wimbledon title. It was Haarhuis' 5th career Grand Slam title and his only Wimbledon title.
