Review

Initially active between the mid-'80s and early '90s, the Bags reunited in 2003, and this two-song CD single was the first release that resulted. Like the full-length album that soon followed, Sharpen Your Sticks, it's an awkward mix of hard rock with vaguely satirical, more punkish sensibilities that leaves one puzzled over whether it's supposed to be a joke. A studio version of one of the songs, "Ivan the Terrible," appears on Sharpen Your Sticks, though "Hide and Seek" does not appear on that album in any form. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
