The 2004 FA Community Shield was the 82nd FA Community Shield, a football match played between the winners of the previous season's Premier League and FA Cup competitions. The match was played on 8 August 2004 between 2003–04 FA Premier League champions Arsenal and 2003–04 FA Cup winners Manchester United.

Arsenal won the game 3–1; Gilberto opened the scoring in the 50th minute, before Alan Smith equalised five minutes later. Reyes scored another goal for Arsenal soon after, before the scoring was rounded off by a Mikaël Silvestre own goal.
