It's an important date in baseball history: John Lee Richmond pitched baseball's first perfect game 125 years ago today. This is the 66th anniversary of the opening of the National Baseball Hall of Fame , in Cooperstown, NY. And, in 1997, major league baseball began interleague play, ending a 126-year tradition of separating the major leagues until the World Series.
