It's an important date in baseball history: John Lee Richmond pitched baseball's first perfect game 125 years ago today. This is the 66th anniversary of the opening of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, in Cooperstown, NY. And, in 1997, major league baseball began interleague play, ending a 126-year tradition of separating the major leagues until the World Series.
