Multipliers

The weightings are determined by the league's ranking on the UEFA coefficients, which in turn depend on the results of each league's clubs in European competition over the previous five seasons. Goals scored in the top five leagues according to the UEFA coefficients list are multiplied by a factor of two, and goals scored in the leagues ranked six to 21 are multiplied by 1.5. Ranked 22nd or lower are multiplied by 1.0.

Full list of UEFA Ranking.

Certain European leagues, such as the Russian Premier League and Tippeligaen, problematically follow calendar years rather than the usual August–May model. As a result, their 2011 calendar season is taken to be compared with the 2011–12 seasons in all other European leagues. This season the Russian League will convert to the August-May model. So instead of starting their new season in March 2012, they will continue the season of 2011 till May 2012.

When a player transfers to a new club which plays in a different league (calendar or summer), goals made for the 2 clubs won't be added up to each other
