2013 World Baseball Classic – Qualification

The qualification round for the 2013 World Baseball Classic will be held in 2012. For the first time ever a qualifying round will be held to determine the final set of teams that will compete in the main tournament. 16 teams will compete in the qualification rounds: the bottom 4 teams from the 2009 World Baseball Classic, and 12 teams that were invited by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF).^[1]
