Plot
Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) arrives at CTU with Teri (Leslie Hope) and Kimberly (Elisha Cuthbert). While the women are taken to CTU's clinic, Alberta (Tamara Tunie) places Jack under house arrest. Jack asks Nina (Sarah Clarke) to get Tony (Carlos Bernard) to cover for her so she can go to the clinic to protect Teri and Kim. Alberta won't let Nina go until Nina tells her where she's going. Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) tells Sherry (Penny Johnson Jerald) that he's being blackmailed, and that Keith (Vicellous Shannon) will be framed for Ferragamo's murder if he goes to the D.A. Teri tells Dr. Kent (Judith Scott) that she was raped, but she doesn't want Jack to find out. Keith overhears his father talking to Mike (Jude Ciccolella) about Ferragamo's death, and demands that Palmer go to the police, because the psychiatrist was there for him when he needed someone. Regional Director Chappelle (Paul Schulze) comes to CTU to debrief Jack. Nina finds a strange man who claims to be an FBI agent in Teri's room at the clinic. She's relieved to find Teri in a different room, but she later finds out that the man claiming to be FBI was a fake. Chappelle tells Jack that he sympathizes with his actions, but he can't reinstate him until the Justice Department okays it. Jack wants to go back out into the field to protect Palmer. Kevin (Richard Burgi) calls Drazen (Zeljko Ivanek) and offers to finish the job, but Drazen's made other arrangements. Alberta takes Tony aside, and tells him it will help his career if he badmouths Jack to Chappelle. Palmer learns of Jack's involvement in a failed mission to Kosovo. But he doesn't know that one of his aides has a connection to Drazen. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide
